Who We Are
The EuroChamber in Ethiopia was established in 2012 in response to the need for (i) sustained dialogue with Ethiopian authorities, and (ii) a platform for networking and information-sharing among EU businesses. In February 2017, the EuroChamber in Ethiopia formally registered as a ‘Foreign Investors Association’ and can now operate as an independent legal entity to fulfill its mission.
The EuroChamber in Ethiopia is managed by a Board of 10 members representing the EU business community in Ethiopia and is headed by a Bureau consisting of a Chairman, a Vice-Chairman, a Treasurer, and an Executive Director.
Ethiopia has ambitious economic and social development targets. The EuroChamber in Ethiopia aims to actively support and contribute to the country’s development by attracting and expanding high-quality investments from EU companies and individuals, thereby creating jobs, transferring knowledge, earning foreign exchange, and accelerating growth.
